Christmas Is Around The Corner Again

As we all know Christmas is fast approaching, and with that comes a lot of stress, pressure, money and organization. So I was thinking, instead of getting caught up in the great torrent that comes with the holidays season just take a moment and remember what its all about, and I'm not taking about Jesus and the birth of Christ, I'm talking about what Christmas means to you! What's your favorite part of Christmas? Is it the food or the presents or the family? Maybe if you just sit back and think of that everything will feel slightly less stressful and imminent.

Personally my favorite part of Christmas is not good old Saint Nick or the Christmas tree or the presents, or even the giant piles of food. I have to admit Christmas day isn't my most favored day of the year because it normally entails a lot of crushed expectations, squabbles and falling out. But by the end of the day when all is said and done and all the gifts have been given and food eaten and family members drift off to bed, I stand in my sitting room surrounded by discarded wrapping paper and kindly given gifts, and look at the fire. Its warm and flickering and slowly dieing away. And just for a moment I sit there and gaze at it because it has an incredibly calming effect. It reminds me why every year people put themselves through the torment because, really, what would we do without it.

Much Love xxx
